From time to time, Mealz is purchasing recipes and articles directly from authors. Please follow the guidelines below if you are interested in selling your content to us.
We are generally only buying exclusive content that is not published elsewhere.
We can buy recipes, articles, meal plans, and cookbooks; and in most cases, we will keep your author byline for distribution purposes (i.e. content will be published from your name and/or your account).
We have strict guidelines for content quality. At a minimum, we will require all content to comply with our content guidelines, such as Recipe Guideline.
There are three steps in the process of selling your exclusive content to us.
Step 1. Reach out to pitch your content
Before you start creating any content designed specifically for the purpose of selling to us, please reach out to us to discuss the terms of each individual purchase.
At this stage, we will agree on the expectations for deliverables, amount payable by Mealz, whether you will receive royalties from the content if it's included in Mealz Premium, and any additional terms.
If you don't have a dedicated Mealz account manager, you can send your inquiries to email@example.com
Step 2. Create your content & send it to Mealz
Once we have explicitly reached an agreement to purchase your content, and you have received a corresponding order form from Mealz, you can start creating content which we will then buy if it meets the pre-agreed requirements.
Once the recipe or article is ready, you can upload it directly to your Mealz profile or send it to us via email.
Step 3. Content approval and payment
Once we receive the content from you, we will review it within 7 business days. If the content matches all pre-agreed parameters, we will release the payment to you within 14 days (in many cases sooner), or as agreed in the payment terms of the order form.
Please kindly note that Mealz will not be liable for any claimed payments for the content that has not been pre-agreed as per the Step 1 above, or for any content that does not meet the above-mentioned guidelines.
